Key Performance Advantages
- Premium low-stretch materials – Quick reactivity and minimal profile distortion
- Effortless performance – Smooth power delivery, light, balanced
- Reinforced detailing for greater durability – longer lasting high performance
The 26/27 Blacktip Pro links its performance directly to the Team Carbon and has been re-engineered to deliver lightweight power and razor-sharp responsiveness across all wave sailing conditions. Marc Paré’s development objective was clear: create top-end performance with maximum ease of use, combining lightweight handling with a highly durable construction.
The luff curve has been re-designed to make the sail more forgiving and easier to handle, delivering a smoother in-hand feel. To further enhance responsiveness, we developed a new laminated scrim—VX-Ply—that combines vertically aligned fibers with an X-Grid for maximum durability. VX-Ply stretches significantly less, ensuring optimal load distribution across the entire sail body.
The Blacktip Pro is built for durability, with load controling VX patches and reinforcement that achieve superior load control and longer-lasting performance. By removing the upper stretch control, the sail now delivers more precise twist under load, extending its wind range even further.
The 26/27 Blacktip Pro is a maneuver-focused wave sail designed for effortless PRO-level performance in all conditions. With enhanced durability, lightweight handling, and Simmer’s legendary build quality, it will take your wavesailing to the next level.

Panel Layout Designed for Load Alignment
Form follows function: every panel and patch in the layout is strategically aligned with the sail’s specific load paths across all sizes. The performance benefits are substantial:
-
Quick power transition – quick to power up and de-power with a smoother in-hand feel.
-
Massive wind range – increased wind range on both low and high wind, giving full control in overpowered conditions without sacrificing low-end drive.
-
Effortless performance – light, balanced, and nimble in maneuvers, delivering instant response and explosive rotation the moment you commit.
NEW MATERIAL // VX-Ply
The new VX-Ply significantly reduces sail deformation compared to the previously used Q-Ply material. Vertical stretch is reduced by more than 20% in high-load areas, while VX-Ply is also 30% thicker than Q-Ply, making it far more durable. The result: improved responsiveness, a wider wind range, and enhanced durability.

Durable Foot Panel
4 MIL Bi-Ply foot panel, light and durability, with frame of VX-Ply in the leach for extra strength.
Overlapping VX-Ply Clew Patches
Direct handling and enhanced durability in the sail’s high-tension clew area.

Compared to the Team Carbon the Blacktip Pro has:
- more luff curve providing additional stability
- VX-Ply in the leech panels provides smoother twist
- greater spacing between the lower two battens at the leech which promote
- improved passive early planing
- new materials for enhanced durability
- slightly more power

// WAVE-FOCUSED FREEWAVE
The new Omnia is a completely new shape from the ground up. It is a classic freewave board that combines fast and crisp freeride performance with remarkable abilities also for wave sailing. The board is based on work done with our pro team starting in 2021. Our team requested a board that was extremely fast, but at the same time very controlled for radical jumping conditions in Pozo. The board needed grip and speed for tight turns in wind swell environments. For this, we went to the drawing board and developed a new rocker with added curvature from the front-strap-area to the front of the mast track, but with a super fast tail. This we combined with a new vee-profile that is flatter in the center with the vee accelerating both towards the nose and tail. Particularly in the front part of the board, this vee is combined with a double concave. The flat tail rocker gives the board its high-speed stability, with the low center vee providing good pop and agility, while the double concave in the front part of the board acts as a cushion, making the board a real chop absorber.
When thinking about ideas for the new Simmer Freewave board, we had our team riders raving about the combination of speed and control of this bottom profile on our minds and decided to base our new freewave development on it. After some iterations, we ended up with a swallow tail outline with a relatively wide and stable nose and a curvature distribution that keeps the tail relatively straight for added grip. Interestingly, now the development went in the other direction, and the outline from the production prototypes was brought over to the to the 75-liter pro model version that is now a part of the production lineup, sporting five slot boxes. The rest of the lineup uses the exact same bottom shape and progressively slightly fuller rails on the bigger models. Except for the 75, all sizes have a center powerbox and slot box thruster boxes. The Omnia replaces the Helix. It provides a faster and more agile ride with added performance in waves, while at the same time feeling more fun and exciting in a straight line. The name Omnia stands for “seize everything,” which explains the board characteristics to the point.Simmer G7 Quantex Windsurfing Board

// PERFORMACE ALL WAVE DESIGN
The Quantex is a high performance wave board that specifically excels in wind swell wave venues. As the name indicates, the Quantex genealogy includes both the Quantum – the original Simmer Style wind swell wave board, and the Cortex – the innovative short rail line Simmer wave board, specifically designed for performance riding in less than ideal conditions. The rocker of the Quantex comes from the original Cortex. Just as the rocker of the Simmer Flywave, it was developed from Kai Katchadourian’s special Peahi board. This means a relatively low rocker in the center of the board combined with a constant curve rocker in the rear part. The main features of this rocker is a high wave riding-speed range. The rocker provides a stable platform in high speed conditions with bigger and choppier waves as well as providing the rider with speed containment in slower onshore conditions.
The central challenge for wind swell performance wave boards is to, provide tight turning board in smaller waves and control bigger waves, which in wind swell locations means chop and high wind. In the Quantex, the mechanism for solving this problem lies in the outline. By fitting a relatively low curvature central outline into a relatively short package, we have achieved to combine stability at high speeds speed with agility at lower speeds. A slighly wider tail that is finished in a jet tail, that is a swallow with the corners chamfered off, provides an excellent platform for early planing and for carrying speed through the bottom turn when winds and waves proves less drive.
The Quantex 109 features a slightly different rocker and outline that combines a slightly longer rail length with single concave to vee-based rocker optimized for carrying heavier sailors and bigger sails.
Simmer G7 Flywave Windsurfing Board

// GROUND SWELL DESIGN
The Flywave has earned a reputation as a top level high performance wave board for professionals and high level sailor at the best spots around the world, but it is equally well liked by intermediates and in less than perfect conditions. The legacy of the Flywave goes back to a rocker developed for Kai Katchadourian’s Peahi board. The winger-swallow based outline was developed together with Marc Paré, who is now back on the team. The constant curve rocker provides a lot of support under the mast foot which is what contributes to the enormous speed range of the Flywave. The wingered outline combined an ability to finish the bottom turn up in a vertical style with a good grip off the top.
In the G7 Flywave development we have for the first time in some years made a few shape updates. The first update concerns the tail length. As some will have noticed, the G6 Flywave 72 and 99 already sports a bit shorter, and hence wider looking tails, than the rest of the bunch. For the G7, the 78 and 84 gets the same shortened tail and to some degree also the 90. The shorter tail makes the board snappier in the bottom turn, allowing it to go even more vertical while also giving the board a better flow in the top turn. The 98 instead gets a tiny bit longer and narrower tail, to add early planing support for bigger guys and bigger sails.
We have also developed a new size, the Flywave 107 L. During our prototyping process the 107 has been getting rave reviews, both from heavy sailors and mid weight sailor wanting a real floaty board.
The second change incorporated in all sizes is a new bottom shape layout in the rear of the board. After several years of development our board designer, Ola Helenius, he has come up with a brand new Flywave design which uses the same central rockers as before, but has an increased and accelerated vee in the tail as well as a deepened tunnel concave inside the vee. Essentially, these two changes balances each other out. Both features increases the tail rocker along the rail and inside the concave respectively, but while the increased rail rocker gives the board a faster rail to rail feel and a slashier turn, the tunnel concave instead adds stability on rail.
The tail refinements in combination extends the range of different top turns the G7 Flywave performs in and give the rider even more options regarding what kind of lines he or she wants to draw on the wave. Essentially, the board now has a bit more projection and tracking when the sailor puts the power down, but also reacts quicker in transition between turns.
