2026 Simmer Blacktip Team Carbon
The new carbon scrim material has allowed us to completely redesign the panel layout, reinforcements, and luff curves. Traditional dacron patches have been replaced with welded carbon reinforcements for optimal load distribution throughout the entire sail body, maximizing the active sail area and overall performance.
The Team Carbon incorporates several advanced technical upgrades. The clew section has been completely redesigned with overlapping panels, where converging carbon fibers in different warp orientations create a stronger structure and improved load distribution across the main panel. On top of this, carbon scrim batten pockets have been added to dramatically enhance sail control and profile stability.
This has been Marc Paré’s passion project since returning to the Simmer Style team in 2024. It represents one of the most extensive R&D efforts in the company’s history. Our goal was to harness the unique properties of premium materials to create the highest-performance, lightest-feeling wave sail ever made by Simmer — built to meet Marc’s demands on his journey to becoming Wave World Champion.

The 26/27 Blacktip Pro links its performance directly to the Team Carbon and has been re-engineered to deliver lightweight power and razor-sharp responsiveness across all wave sailing conditions. Marc Paré’s development objective was clear: create top-end performance with maximum ease of use, combining lightweight handling with a highly durable construction.
The luff curve has been re-designed to make the sail more forgiving and easier to handle, delivering a smoother in-hand feel. To further enhance responsiveness, we developed a new laminated scrim—VX-Ply—that combines vertically aligned fibers with an X-Grid for maximum durability. VX-Ply stretches significantly less, ensuring optimal load distribution across the entire sail body.
The Blacktip Pro is built for durability, with load controling VX patches and reinforcement that achieve superior load control and longer-lasting performance. By removing the upper stretch control, the sail now delivers more precise twist under load, extending its wind range even further.

You might remember David Ezzy’s North Zeta from the late 80’s and early 90’s. The original Zeta shocked windsurfing back then by being the first 5-batten wave sail. Fast forward a few decades and some intensive R&D, and the Ezzy Zeta rides again. PREMIUM CONTROLThe BladePro takes the Blade concept to the next level. Built entirely in CarbonFusion to make it lighter, more responsive and more stable than standard construction. This is Philip Köster’s sail.
New for 026, even the batten pockets are engineered using CarbonFusion. This creates a smooth, stitchless sail from the back of the mast sleeve to the leech. Eliminating thousands of micro-holes created by stitching delivers multiple benefits:

More power. All the control. The Blade delivers 5-batten stability without the traditional weight compromise. Forward driving profiles and reduced backhand pressure mean slight wind variations go unnoticed. The sail does the work; you focus on sailing. The 026 Blade has been rebuilt from the ground up to increase power and integrate the latest development concepts: XR Xtended Range: Developed to increase wind range at both the lower AND higher ends. Deeper, more powerful profiles are locked in place with added skin tension to enhance control and stability. Fat Head: Originally developed for the S-1, the increased head roach opens further under load, improving high-end control and wind range. Smaller sizes have relatively fatter heads whilst bigger sizes balance the head size for better aero efficiency. DirectConnect: A system of directly connecting the load points of the sail to any hardware – masts, battens and boom. Zero lag means the sail reacts instantly to rider input. CarbonFusion Trickle-Down: The BladePro construction is trickling down into the Blade, with welded foot panels and carbon load transfer strips in the head and tack. Gradient Panel Technology: Overlapped corners logically reduce weight, increase strength and control stretch. The 026 Blade sets a new standard by integrating these design concepts with industry-leading materials, including VX2, SpiderFibre, eM4 as well as the new D6 Dacron in the luff. The Blade is the control-oriented wave sail for any conditions.
