The new FoilFreek is higher aspect to minimize any fore-aft movement of the power in the sail, keeping it balanced directly above the foil. Taller sails provide more leverage, improving the light wind efficiency. And the longer, stiffer masts enable increased skin tension for better high wind control. The FoilFreek uses the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY. Corners have overlapped panels which reduces the amount of patching. At the same time these overlapped areas extend into the body of the sail so it transitions the load much better, less stretch over time. It’s a more stable way of building sails. Rather than a single curved luff panel, the FoilFreek uses separate panels that radiate out of the head and tack corners. This perfectly aligns the sail material with the direction of load. Previously the curved panel would have bias stretch in all the wrong places. Direct transmission of power. Increased longevity. Sizes 4.8 to 5.6 can be rigged on a 430 RDM mast, and the 4.0 to 4.8 can be rigged on a 400. (4.8 is the crossover size, can be rigged on either) This sail has proven to have great succes in the freeride discipline of windfoling. Combining the advantages of a foil sail and the lightness of a freestyle sail, the foil freek is the perfect sail for those windfoilers looking to enhance their quiver. LIGHTWEIGHT.

This is one of the most important characteristics. And we do lightweight sails better than anyone.

HIGH CENTRE OF LIFT.

Increases leverage for efficiency. Improves pumpability. 

STABLE.

Reduced draft movement means there’s less influence on trim. Better to keep everything constant. Cams keep the sail profile stable and minimize any movement.

SHORT BOOMS.

Better control. The shorter boom length allows you to adjust your stance easily. After the success of our foil racing sail, the HyperGlide, we have created a user-friendly freeride version – the FoilGlide. Sharing a lot of technology and ideology these sails are the ultimate for foiling.

The high-aspect design is more stable, more efficient, and more controllable. The shorter boom lengths are easy to manage, and position the Centre of Effort directly above the foil. Combined with a tighter leech, the leverage is increased which gets you up and foiling with a smaller sail in lighter winds.

With only 5 battens and lightweight construction, the physical weight of these sails is significantly less than other sails. For foiling this makes maintaining trim much easier, and just a lot more fun to use.

Developed with Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (ARG-3) and Matteo Iachino (I-140) for the new world of foil racing, the HyperGlide 5 is set to become the most complete foil racing sail to date. In sizes 5,0 – 8,0 the HyperGlide 5 is focused on full power slalom where top-end velocity and precision control make the difference between victory or carnage. Sizes 9,0 – 10,0 offer a tighter leech and deeper draft for extreme upwind/downwind performance. Added power and the ability to point enable you to ride a smaller foil set-up in lighter winds; the key to going fast. A bigger sleeve provides the stability needed to handle the added power and improve low-end, as well as, upwind performance. Regulated backhand pressure means power is always available when needed. Maximum control is achieved through stability – the less movement in the rig, the easier it is to maintain trim. Ultra-high aspect ratios keep the boom length short, minimizing the distance profile can move backward. High skin tension and a rigid framework of 7 tube battens and 4 XL cams lock everything in place, creating a highly efficient race machine. Trademark weight reduction throughout the HyperGlide 5 means you’re racing on the lightest rig every time you power into a gybe you know you’re doing it with less effort than the other guys. What is the Cross? A high performance sail for windsurfing and windsurf foiling. What inspired the Cross? David Ezzy needed one sail that would satisfy his two loves, foiling and windsurfing. He took what he learned from the past 4 years of foiling and combined it with his 40 years of wave and freeriding to come up with the Cross. How does the Cross compare to last year’s Hydra and Hydra Pro? The Cross is much lighter weight compared to the Hydras with similar stability, speed, and handling while being much better for fin freeriding. How does it compare to the Cheetah? The Cross is maneuverable and light in the hands, providing a bump-n-jump freeride experience, whereras the Cheetah provides a locked-in freeride experience. For high wind freeriding, we recommend the 4.7 Cross as the next size below the 5.5 Cheetah. How does the Cross achieve high performance for both foiling and regular windsurfing?
