The MACH 1 foil range is designed to provide the highest level of speed and control to wing foilers, but is also an ideal kite, windsurf and surf foil. Drawing inspiration from the Wind/Wing HA 914, this series features extra thin, very stable and slippery foil sections that prioritize speed while also offering a surprisingly wide range, good glide and low stall speed. Take offs are relatively simple as long as riders commit to providing enough power when necessary. With its diverse capabilities, the Mach 1 will prove particularly useful for experienced wing foilers seeking a front wing option that covers all their needs regardless of riding conditions - flat water blasting, racing, jumping or carving in the surf. Furthermore, its unique design ensures that it can remain dynamic even during high speed runs while keeping drag levels minimal - a key feature which allows riders to maintain control without sacrificing speed. Developed alongside Austin Kalama and Koa Fabio as the go-to surf foil board for experienced riders who desire the versatility and power-performance features of a singular board to cover all facets of foiling; surf, tow and wing foiling. Born from the rockerlines of the Hover Surf Ascend, the NEW Chimera Range shapes have been evolved to know no limits, transcending expectations of what’s possible on a foil in the surf. Constructed with a Biaxial Carbon / glass sandwich, superior strength is a fundamental feature in maintaining key structural aspects of the board, preventing denting or cracking on hard landings, whilst preserving a lighter overall weight than ever before. The narrow outline paired with its low-volume composition dramatically enhances the boards maneuverability and optimized turning capability on waves. The increased waterline and bottom shaping offers heightened momentum during take-offs and faster acceleration from the water’s surface. The beveled rail grants speedy touchdowns and a super sharp tail release for maximum efficiency when getting on foil, allowing the rider to ride around 10 liters lower than their typical board. The modified volume distribution elevates the board's balance profile, granting ease of operation, while the deck recess; a scooped out, slight W concave and EVA pad combination offers ultimate paddle comfort and ergonomic foot placement with great control , keeping you locked in place without the need for straps. The Above development took inspiration from learnings in downwind SUP and Wingfoiling. Learning from the longer, narrow designs of the Ace Foil, we wanted the same efficiency and speed to take off in light winds. However, we aimed for more maneuverability and forgiveness on touchdowns, requiring slightly shorter lengths while maintaining the narrow outlines crucial for fast take-offs. Combining the parallel mid-section from the Take Off range, the pronounced Vee nose from the X-15, and a compromise to widen the nose and tail outline, we created the Above.WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE SHAPE?
Various volumes and sizes allow first-time riders to get up on foil easily, while intermediate riders will enjoy light wind winging and easy freeriding in all wind conditions. Additional volume in the nose and tail allows you to have an even stance over the foil before flight, while the combination of a longer and narrower outline easily generates speed for early lift off. A parallel nose with sharp rails gives the Above easy-to-recover touchdowns, with instant rebound. The Above concept was inspired by blending our favourite models, with speed and fast lift off inspired from our narrower, Ace range and blended ideas from our favourite models through the years.
