The new Dyno redefines accessibility in wave sailing experience while maintaining its legendary versatility. Drawing DNA from Philip Köster’s Pyro, we’ve engineered the most user-friendly wave board that doubles as a high-speed blasting machine.

The lifted nose rocker and refined rail shape deliver confident wave riding without the typically steep learning curve. Regardless of the input level, the Dyno’s forgiving nature inspires confidence. A new swallow tail maintains drive through turns while preventing back-foot sink – essential for progressing riders.

Switch from waves to blasting in seconds. Configured as a thruster, it attacks waves with predictable precision. Convert to single fin, and you have a rapid freeride board that offers that full throttle charge usually reserved for race oriented boards.

Description

NEW NOSE DESIGN

New nose outline: Reduced swing weight. Moderate radius tip to prevent sail damage.
A lifted nose rocker improves wave sailing abilities and gives you that electric feeling when blasting at full speed.

PROGRESSIVE RAIL DESIGN

The hard release edge at the tail of the board becomes progressively rounded and soft towards the front of the board.
The apex of the rail becomes progressively higher through the forward sections to prevent catching. Bevels through the front sections raise the apex even higher for more clearance and increase the hit rate of landed moves.

PARALLEL OUTLINE

The parallel outline decreases drag and increases stability. Overall width is reduced which helps give the boards a smaller, more manoeuvrable feel.

COMPACT VOLUME DISTRIBUTION

The reduced length centres the volume where you need it. Optimised deck angles transition from reduced volume rails to high volume standing area.

REFINED BOTTOM SHAPE

Pronounced double concave with deep V enables easy rail-to-rail transition, even on the largest size Dynos.
Forward V penetrates chop for less impact and more comfort.
Increased V through the fins creates more rail rocker for precise turns when on the rail.

ERGONOMIC FOOT POSITIONING

Deck angles have been designed for comfort and to maintain responsive foot positioning in both inboard wave and outboard freeride set ups.

ACCELERATED ROCKERLINE

Based on the Nano, the Dyno rocker is flatter and faster through the tail. The entry rocker has been tuned for the lowest possible angle of attack for maximum acceleration and comfort through chop while still allowing sufficient nose lift for wave manoeuvres and jumping.

LIGHTWEIGHT PAINT JOB

Lightweight pigmented resin construction with minimal paint, just as the Pyro.

SWALLOW TAIL

Shallow swallow cutout to maintain area behind finbox. Pyro heritage.

FIN OPTIONS: SINGLE FIN

With a single freeride fin and out-board footstraps, the Dyno transforms into a pure blasting machine.

COMPACT DESIGN

One of the narrowest freewave boards. Gives you that small board feeling.

FIN OPTIONS: THRUSTER

The Dyno is fitted with a centre Power Box and 2 x SlotBox+ for the side fins. In Thruster mode control and manoeuvrability are enhanced for use in wave or bump-and-jump conditions.

A board for all occasions. Not only does this board want to be sailed fast across choppy waters, but it also wants to jump off and carve on the face of a wave. A radical new design, the Dyno V5 feels more at home in the waves than ever before, whilst still keeping true to its origins as the ultimate FSW board. More volume underfoot helps you get onto plane earlier, a more refined rail design increases control, and greater rocker in the nose allows the board to maneuver smoothly on the face of a wave; just some of the improvements that make this board more fun and versatile than previous Dynos.

I am 85 kg and enjoy using the 105L to get maximum wind range.
