A blend of light weight feel, power, control and range with some extra juice when you need it. A new profile combined with a more unified twist from bottom to top creates a more efficient and lighter feeling sail giving you more range and control especially in down the line conditions. Handling Characteristic: The lift is slightly higher up and further back compared to Banzai Surf Pro and Banzai Max Pro, which promotes a more upright feel but also gives a touch of back hand pressure for more throttle when you need it. Main window panel: 6 mil X-Ply Film features a black Ultra-PE fiber that provides high modulus stretch resistance and high tensile tear strength. The fiber configuration allows for maximum fiber performance while also blending into the background. Black yarns are ultra low reflection, meaning they absorb all the light and move towards vanishing in appearance as you look through the sail, offering the best possible, undistracted view through the window of the sail. Taking our latest and most progressive wave shapes and increasing both length and width ever so slightly results in what is your go-to if you prefer a Thruster setup, yet as radical a wave board as the Quad. Akin to the Banzai concept, this is essentially one wave board tuned in two ways. Originating from the same new exuberant shapes as the Custom Quad, with the addition of a faster and sharper tail rocker, the Custom Thruster packs even more speed, stability and waft than the Quad. Easily as radical, the Thruster however is a touch more forgiving. The primary target of these progressive boards was applying the learnings from our new favorite Custom Quads and adding much more range to them. Voilà the Custom Thruster 4 Pro Carbon. Generation 4. Both boards are faster and lighter with added comfort and control. Custom built US boxes for lightness and compatibility, removed deck sticker for lightness and sustainability. Keeping in mind how more and more people love the Custom Thruster for bump & jump riding, drove us to also focus on refining the lowend speed characteristics, to plane earlier, jump higher, while not deviating an inch from those radical turns that stay with you long after your session has ended. Goya Banzai Pro Windsurfing Sail – Yellow 5.3 Now £499
The Banzai Pro is the “go to” 4 batten worldwide wave sail for our top riders Marcilio Browne (PWA wave world champion) and Loick Lesauvage. The Banzai Pro is the answer and solution to all demands of a light weight, direct power delivery, wide range sail with heaps of flex feel and control. The adaptability of the Banzai Pro is unparalleled.
Unique to the Banzai Pro design 2021 concept is the back-hand throttle control. The sail pulls forward from “low RPMs” and is very balanced, but there is always a little “extra” available off the back hand for when you really need to juice up into a jump or maneuver. This tactile back-hand feel gives you a direct connection to how the sail is loading and releasing and allows you stay connected throughout your maneuvers. Marcilio Browne has driven this concept, insisting that the sails maintain the connected feel, providing him supreme confidence and control through technical and radical maneuvers. There is a trend in the market for more “neutral” feeling wave sails, and while there is a place for more of that on other Goya models, the Banzai Pro is designed for a more positive rider connection to instant power delivery. The Banzai Pro window material is Bi-Ply film. This “sleeper” feature is a massive step up from mono film. Bi-Ply is two layers of laminated clear film, lasting about 3x longer than mono film. It is UV protected and highly resistant to hard creases. Its added cost compared to mono film is worth double when unrolling a supple sounding sail, and endlessly valuable when falling and not breaking your sail.
