The all-new Freeride front wings include all the latest development from the SLR series, giving them new levels of speed and acceleration. Compared to the SLR, these new Freeride wings have just a slightly reduced aspect-ratio to add comfort and control.
The new Jumbo Evolution MkII fuselage with an integrated fin (A) brings rock-solid stability and a smoother flight.
Freeride 2: set up on a relatively short 89cm fuselage (B) and with a giant 500cm2 tail wing (C), this unique combination makes foil jibes incredibly fun, powerful and addictive.
Freeride 2S: the sportier option. New for 2024, the Freeride 2S bridges the gap between the Freeride 2 and the SLR series: Take the SLR 2 Slalom foil, swap out the front wing for a more controllable, medium aspect front wing (D) and swap out the tail wing for the 330 (E) – and you have the Freeride 2S.
NEW V9 ALUMINIUM MAST
STRONGER
The V9 mast uses the same extrusion die as its predecessor, the V5 mast, and adds a couple of strength upgrades:
The mast position is shifted backwards slightly to add more metal around the rear barrel nuts.
These barrel nuts sit deeper than in the V5, adding extra strength.
A 1.5 degree fuselage is now built in, lifting the nose of the board for an easier, more balanced trim while flying.
Freeride 2S Carbon:
This Carbon version replaces the Aluminium V9 mast with the all-new Solid Core Carbon MkII C400 mast.
Super thin, super sharp, measuring just 13.5mm at its thinnest point, the mast profile is designed for maximum speed and maximum ventilation-resistance. This mast has a 1.5˚ fuselage-angle built-in.
The C400 is pressed with high modulus carbon at its core and ultra high modulus along the outer layers to offer outstanding stiffness, speed and performance.

2025 Starboard Foils E-TYPE PRO Front Wing
ALL-ROUND FREESTYLE
The E-Types are a family of medium aspect wings. By nature, medium aspect wings are versatile, maneuverable and easy to control. This makes them all-round: they are suitable for a wide range of foiling styles.
The Pro versions of the E-Type offer the technical rider more speed, quicker acceleration and more pop. Our most recommended wing for freestyle and high-performance freeride. Designed in collaboration with World Freestyle Champion Lennart Neubauer, SUP Surfing World Champion Benoit Carpentier and European Freestyle Champion Steven Van Broekhoven.

TAIL WING FITTING SYSTEM
The tail wing also uses a saddle system. An angle spacer sits between the wing and the fuselage. Changing the angle spacers allows the rider to adjust tail wing angle to optimise performance based on wind speed and the desired flying configuration: more power or more control.
AFS F700 Access 700mm/779 cm2 – Freeride Foil Front Wing
***Please note this is just for the front wing not the whole hydrofoil setup***
The AFS-F700 access is the standard front wing supplied with the AFS-W85 foil package.
This front wing is optimised to make Windfoiling fun and accessible to all levels of rider in moderate wind ranges.
It provides more low speed lift than the F-700, but it still has a large envelope of performance combined with this accessibility, making it suitable for all levels of rider from Beginner to Experienced and is ideal for all the Freeride - Freerace applications the majority of recreational riders will want to participate in.
It is best suited to use with the Stab v1, so is ideal for use as on the W85 and can be used as replacement for the original front wing on the W95 or the AFS-2 to provide a small gain in low speed lift, but a small loss in top speed as the trade-off.
The ultra-strong, Monolithic Full Carbon Pre-Preg T700 construction is the result of more than 11 years of research/testing that have gone into developing this product, to ensure it delivers unrivalled performance for the Beginner - Experienced Freerider in an intended wind range of 9-25 knots.
