S-1 _MANOEUVRE ORIENTED WAVE
The new S-1 is built on the exact same pattern as the S-1 Pro but uses VX2 and eM3 laminate materials to reduce cost with only 150g added weight*.
The GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY logically reduces weight, increases strength and controls stretch. Overall weight is reduced but the more significant improvement is the feel – quicker reacting and lighter feel.
Rather than a single curved luff panel, the S-1 uses separate panels that radiate out of the head and tack corners. This perfectly aligns the sail material with the direction of load. Previously the curved panel would have bias stretch in all the wrong places. Direct transmission of power. Increased longevity.
The boom length has been shortened on bigger sizes (4.8 and up) to reduce the back-hand pressure that builds up as the wind increases. Instead, the power has been shifted up in the sail giving more leverage to accelerate instantly in light winds.

2025 Naish Force 4 Windsurfing Sail – Blue
THE ULTIMATE 4 BATTEN WAVE SAIL
Through the past year we have worked with Ricardo Campello, Robby Naish and our test team to fine tune the Force 4. In addition to a fresh new color combo we went through and improved the range size-by-size. For the 5.0 and up we kept the more powerful feel with a slightly tighter leech, accommodating the need for plenty of sail power, especially in onshore and side-onshore conditions. In addition to Maui, testing was done in Brazil and Italy, which helped to adjust those sizes for real-world conditions and make them extremely crisp and responsive. Our sizes 4.7 and smaller received some slight adjustments to make the head open a touch more, making them feel even lighter in the rider's hands while keeping the power necessary to perform in any conditions from side-offshore to onshore. The Blade has defined the 5-batten wave sail category for nearly two decades.
With the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY improvements are obvious. Lighter weight and better stability.

S-1 _MANOEUVRE ORIENTED WAVE
The S-1 is the high performance 4 batten wave sail. The reduced batten count makes this sail light, flexible and responsive. Engineered for any type of conditions, this lightweight powerhouse redefines responsiveness. The S-1 has more back-hand pressure than the Blade, calibrated to go vertical or launch into aerial moves.
A fat head on the latest generation S-1 opens more under load to increase the performance envelope; more high-end control and wind range. The aspect ratio has been decreased on the smaller sizes to reduce twitchiness. Combined with the fatter head, the area distribution is more obvious.
The 025 S-1 utilises XFusion technology; ultrasonically welding the foot panels, negating the need for stitching. Lighter, more responsive, and no stitching to wear out. XFusion is an evolution of CarbonFusion technology used in the PRO sails that have trickled down to more accessible models.
Both the S-1 and S-1 Pro are developed on an identical platform. The PRO construction offers the ultimate experience while the S-1 replicates the dynamic performance in a more accessible construction.

Main window panel: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant features two 3 mil layers of PET film. This creates a softer hand, improved flex and reduced creasing. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive significantly increases the life of the product in comparison to traditional monofilm Upper window panels: 4 mil high quality Monfofilm from Dimension Polyant. Upper body color panels: 2.5 mil Scrim from Dimension-Polyant is a polyester scrim plus X-PLY ® which are designed for reduced weight while still offering reduced stretch of a traditional X-PLY ® only product.
