The New redesigned 3rd Generation Chinook RDG Carbon Boom is made with a 24.5mm (100% Carbon) Monocoque body with a specialized bend curve that is light and strong, while the completely reworked wider tailpiece is stiffer than ever and offers 50 cm of adjustment marked with permanent absolute markings for convenient adjustment.
The fully articulating standard Pro-1 Head fits both SDM and RDM masts. Easy adjusting 2 pin stainless steel vertical slide collars lock the tailpiece solidly in place, but are easily opened for quick adjustment.

The Pro-1 boom head is fully articulated, so regardless of what height the boom is set at, there will be no excess tension on the boom arms or the mast. It also ensures that if the boom head is not level with the clew, the boom will not pull at the leech or foot of the sail.
These carbon booms come into their own in choppy or overpowered conditions - their stiffness resists arm bending, and prevents the rig from distorting and causing you problems!

Model Code: CPSL (Carbon Pro Slalom) This boom was designed for the larger sails and the rigours and load of the Slalom format. The tapering oval grip makes the grip area a comfortable 29mm while retaining the stiffness required for big sizes. This boom is truly outstanding in that the stiffness is right up there with booms costing twice the price. This when compared with the CPS has a wider slalom bend curve and a wide tail to minimise the sail touching the boom arm thereby giving the sail more power. If it is more control you want, then consider the CPS.Features
