The 26/27 Blacktip Pro links its performance directly to the Team Carbon and has been re-engineered to deliver lightweight power and razor-sharp responsiveness across all wave sailing conditions. Marc Paré’s development objective was clear: create top-end performance with maximum ease of use, combining lightweight handling with a highly durable construction.
The luff curve has been re-designed to make the sail more forgiving and easier to handle, delivering a smoother in-hand feel. To further enhance responsiveness, we developed a new laminated scrim—VX-Ply—that combines vertically aligned fibers with an X-Grid for maximum durability. VX-Ply stretches significantly less, ensuring optimal load distribution across the entire sail body.
The Blacktip Pro is built for durability, with load controling VX patches and reinforcement that achieve superior load control and longer-lasting performance. By removing the upper stretch control, the sail now delivers more precise twist under load, extending its wind range even further.

The fully articulating standard Pro-1 Head fits both SDM and RDM masts. Easy adjusting 2 pin stainless steel vertical slide collars lock the tailpiece solidly in place, but are easily opened for quick adjustment.

The Pro-1 boom head is fully articulated, so regardless of what height the boom is set at, there will be no excess tension on the boom arms or the mast. It also ensures that if the boom head is not level with the clew, the boom will not pull at the leech or foot of the sail.

Main window panel: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant features two 3 mil layers of PET film. This creates a softer hand, improved flex and reduced creasing. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive significantly increases the life of the product in comparison to traditional monofilm. Upper window panels: 4 mil high quality Monfofilm from Dimension Polyant. Upper color body panels: 1.5 mil Ultra low stretch linear Warp Carbon fiber laminate yarns arrayed to control load lines in the sail combined with super strong Technora aramid X-Ply. Warp Carbon gives incredible linear control of the sail profile while also allowing a dynamic, torsional, bias stretch and return.
