With the immediate success of the revolutionary Con-Vee bottom in the prior Pyrmaid Pro, we set out to review some of the all time best boards in our lineage, to see how we could blend and even enhance the modern Con-Vee concept.
Pyramid prototypes and team Custom boards alike featured various refinements to all design aspects. Slight adjustments to the rocker line, rail flow off the nose, and outline through the back of the mast track through the middle of your stance all played into these new Pyramid shapes. The outline is a touch fuller and the mast track position has been adjusted to work in its full spectrum.

The Polakow is Quatro’s fastest, most drive-oriented and turn-capable thruster to date — a board Keith Teboul calls “the fastest, driviest, turniest board yet” and “the best Thruster I have ever used.” Designed to sail with the same fast-and-loose attitude as Jason Polakow, it delivers pro-level performance while staying flattering and easy to ride in real-world conditions.Slightly longer than the Pyramid and just under a centimeter narrower, it features less overall rocker. The stance area is nearly 2 cm narrower for improved control at high speeds. Taking our latest and most progressive wave shapes and increasing both length and width ever so slightly results in what is your go-to if you prefer a Thruster setup, yet as radical a wave board as the Quad. Akin to the Banzai concept, this is essentially one wave board tuned in two ways. Originating from the same new exuberant shapes as the Custom Quad, with the addition of a faster and sharper tail rocker, the Custom Thruster packs even more speed, stability and waft than the Quad. Easily as radical, the Thruster however is a touch more forgiving. The primary target of these progressive boards was applying the learnings from our new favorite Custom Quads and adding much more range to them. Voilà the Custom Thruster 4 Pro Carbon. Generation 4. Both boards are faster and lighter with added comfort and control. Custom built US boxes for lightness and compatibility, removed deck sticker for lightness and sustainability. Keeping in mind how more and more people love the Custom Thruster for bump & jump riding, drove us to also focus on refining the lowend speed characteristics, to plane earlier, jump higher, while not deviating an inch from those radical turns that stay with you long after your session has ended.
