The Double Layer Light technology is our Premium construction. Featuring a second PVC layer, which is welded directly to the core layers and around the V-Drop Stitch material – the heart of each Fanatic Inflatable. An additional third layer of coloured rail bands round off the highly durable and premium quality, with stylish optics of the deck print.
The benefits of the Double Layer Light construction when compared to the standard Double Layer technology is a 20 – 25 % reduction in weight, and around 25 – 30 % increase in stiffness. Simply the best inflatable technology out there!

The Touring inflatable paddle board is designed with a wider nose and squarish tail, providing increased stability, particularly in heavy winds and choppy waters. Effortlessly tote your board to the water with the trademark Starboard shoulder carry strap for a convenient, hands-free experience that is distinct to Starboard products. The Rail Edge Technology effectively releases water at the tail and reduces drag by creating a laminar flow behind the board. The Welded Rail Technology mechanically joins the deck and hull, making it a stronger and longer-lasting longer iSUP.Roll Technology - Pack the inflatable board together with the pump and paddle into a 30% smaller bag. The Roll bag features both roller wheels and hiking straps for travel convenience. The Roll Technology is now available only with Zen Single Chamber boards. The 10'7" Windsurf is our windsurfable all-rounder, a fusion of inflatable SUP and sailboard. Based on our all-round Ride shapes but with added windsurfing functionality: we’ve moved the handles to the side, adding a central deck-plate to take a mast-base and rig, our unique daggerboard system, plus a single US box fin at the tail. While our heritage might be in windsurfing, we’ve been producing paddleboards for over 15 years now – so as you’d expect from a Red, of course it paddles perfectly too! With 33" of width and 257L of volume it’s proportioned mid-way between our two best-selling 10'6" and 10'8" Ride all-rounders. Or if the breeze gets up, just partner it with one of our Ride Rigs and sail away. The Sure-Fin daggerboard adds stability and lateral control – particularly upwind.
