Developed by Jean Louis Colmas in 1984, Wood Technology became Starboard’s trademark construction in 1995. Wood Technology remains a favourite for riders preferring more comfort, more control and the unique crisp feel of an original Starboard. It’s time to bring back this technology while reducing our CO2 footprint. Full wood sandwich lamination of 0.6mm Australian Pinewood over modern, recyclable 3mm PET core foam ensures durability and comfort in a good strength to weight ratio. Today’s wood is less visible in modern graphics; UV protected by fresh blue paint and stickers that compliment the natural grain with a really nice effect. A classy re-edition of a classic Starboard Original.

This board is fantastic! If you are looking for a board that goes fast, eats chop and gybes like a knife through butter then this board is for you. A friend remarked ‘if you shut your eyes you think you’re on an isonic but friendlier’, I couldn’t agree more. It’s fast like an isonic but a lot friendlier and more controlled to sail, which for an average windsurfer like myslef is perfect. I struggle to find the top end of it despite riding predomintly in choppy sub par south coast condiotions. Pairing it with a true freeride sail, such as a cheetah or NCX, is ideal for this board but it also works well with wave and cambered sails.
I hope you enjoy this board as much as I do, it truly is brilliant.
For reference I use the 129ltr and find it works great in 15-25 knots.
