The Chinook Sailing RDG Carbon Boom (150-200cm) "SLIM" 24.5mm(100% Carbon) is made with the Monocoque body with a specialized bend curve that is light and strong, while the redesigned 50 cm tailpiece is stiff and marked with permanent absolute markings for convenient adjustment.
The fully articulating standard Pro-1 Head fits both SDM and RDM masts. Easy adjusting 2 pin stainless steel vertical slide collars lock the tailpiece solidly in place, but are easily opened for quick adjustment.

Model Code: CPSL (Carbon Pro Slalom) This boom was designed for the larger sails and the rigours and load of the Slalom format. The tapering oval grip makes the grip area a comfortable 29mm while retaining the stiffness required for big sizes. This boom is truly outstanding in that the stiffness is right up there with booms costing twice the price. This when compared with the CPS has a wider slalom bend curve and a wide tail to minimise the sail touching the boom arm thereby giving the sail more power. Engineered for any type of conditions, this lightweight powerhouse redefines responsiveness. The S-1 has more back-hand pressure than the Blade, calibrated to go vertical or launch into aerial moves.
A fat head on the latest generation S-1 opens more under load to increase the performance envelope; more high-end control and wind range. The aspect ratio has been decreased on the smaller sizes to reduce twitchiness. Combined with the fatter head, the area distribution is more obvious.
The 025 S-1 utilises XFusion technology; ultrasonically welding the foot panels, negating the need for stitching. Lighter, more responsive, and no stitching to wear out. XFusion is an evolution of CarbonFusion technology used in the PRO sails that have trickled down to more accessible models.
