Severne Redwing 850 Front Wing
The Severne Redwing 850 refers to the 850cm² front wing for the Severne Redwing windsurf foil system, designed for maximum control, maneuverability, and use in stronger winds or by lighter riders, fitting into a versatile, easy-to-use foil lineup that emphasizes fun freeride windsurfing by integrating with boards like the Alien and HyperLite sails. It's a modular composite wing (fibreglass reinforced with Darkweb carbon core) that offers easy setup with minimal bolts and is part of a system focused on making windsurfing more accessible.Â

Severne Redwing 1200 Front Wing
The Redwing 1200 is recommended for windfoilers who want stability and a fun, relaxed experience.Â
- Performance: Reviewers from Surf Magazine note the 1200 foil needs only a very low speed to take off and provides outstanding flight stability. It is described as "fun enough to keep you foiling into gybes, 360's and beyond". While it delivers a decent freeride speed, its focus is on comfort and easy early foiling rather than raw speed.
- Target User:Â This wing is recommended for freeride or intermediate foiling, offering excellent balance between maneuverability and lift.
- Compatibility:Â The Redwing system is designed to work in harmony with Severne's specific boards like the Severne Alien and Predator series. Reviewers found that mixing the Redwing foil with boards from other brands could result in an unbalanced setup. The deep tuttle head has a plate adaptor which is considered a good solution for a guaranteed fit in various board boxes.
- Safety Features:Â Severne designed the foil with safety in mind. All wingtips are rounded and curved downwards, away from kicking feet. The system also uses two distinct bolt types (short for wings, long for the mast) to prevent accidental misplacement during assembly.

AFS F700 Access 700mm/779 cm2 – Freeride Foil Front Wing

The AFS-F700 access is the standard front wing supplied with the AFS-W85 foil package.
This front wing is optimised to make Windfoiling fun and accessible to all levels of rider in moderate wind ranges.
It provides more low speed lift than the F-700, but it still has a large envelope of performance combined with this accessibility, making it suitable for all levels of rider from Beginner to Experienced and is ideal for all the Freeride - Freerace applications the majority of recreational riders will want to participate in.
It is best suited to use with the Stab v1, so is ideal for use as on the W85 and can be used as replacement for the original front wing on the W95 or the AFS-2 to provide a small gain in low speed lift, but a small loss in top speed as the trade-off.
