Favourite kit: Airush Ultra V2 14m for light wind kitesurfing and foiling. This kite is SO light and does not stall at all. I’ve not even tried it yet in sub 10knts but I know it will be awesome.
Local windsurfing spot: Kite Beach Hayling & the Sand Bar, Hayling Island.
Where is the best place you’ve ever surfed?
Uluwatu, Bali. This place is amazing but probably not good for kitesurfing as it is surrounded by big cliffs.
Can you actually windsurf?
Yes! I am an RYA windsurf instructor qualifying in Vassiliki during my season there working in the Bar/Restaurant but you can’t do it all and I prefer Kitesurfing and Paddlesurfing and SUP Foiling and Kitefoiling, there is too much fun to be had these days!
When did you start windsurfing?
A windsurfing friend gave me some kit when I was about 21 years old. I was hooked, then bought my first Bic then went to Club Vass and got pretty good pretty quick.
Do you do any other sports?
Love my Mountain Bike and used to regularly Snowboard before the kids came along.
How do you push yourself to learn new things?
I like to stay in one piece these days but I do try new things mainly foiling recently as it really is the best way to get out on the water in the summer breezes.
What’s your next goal?
To get the kids on the water as much as possible!
