Developed alongside Austin Kalama and Koa Fabio as the go-to surf foil board for experienced riders who desire the versatility and power-performance features of a singular board to cover all facets of foiling; surf, tow and wing foiling. Born from the rockerlines of the Hover Surf Ascend, the NEW Chimera Range shapes have been evolved to know no limits, transcending expectations of what’s possible on a foil in the surf. Constructed with a Biaxial Carbon / glass sandwich, superior strength is a fundamental feature in maintaining key structural aspects of the board, preventing denting or cracking on hard landings, whilst preserving a lighter overall weight than ever before. The narrow outline paired with its low-volume composition dramatically enhances the boards maneuverability and optimized turning capability on waves. The increased waterline and bottom shaping offers heightened momentum during take-offs and faster acceleration from the water’s surface. The beveled rail grants speedy touchdowns and a super sharp tail release for maximum efficiency when getting on foil, allowing the rider to ride around 10 liters lower than their typical board. The modified volume distribution elevates the board’s balance profile, granting ease of operation, while the deck recess; a scooped out, slight W concave and EVA pad combination offers ultimate paddle comfort and ergonomic foot placement with great control , keeping you locked in place without the need for straps. The Hover Ascend Wing Board series has been specifically designed for a specialized usage in the field of wing foiling. Designed to be ridden a size smaller than our Hover Wing Foil Carbon Ultras, they offer a comparably thinner parallel planform with increased waterline. The parallel outline and increased water line makes it possible to get on the foil with minimal effort. In the smaller sizes (up to the 92) these boards are crafted with a flat tail rocker while the larger sizes feature a tail kick that makes them suitable for dual-purpose use as both SUP foil boards and wing foil boards. DETAILS High Density PVC Foil Track System with (2) 10” US Boxes Our high-density PVC foil track system with (2) 10” US boxes will get you on the fin or the foil as quickly as possible. Concave Deck Increases stability and enhances your foot grip to eliminate slipping off the board. This new range of boards is perfectly suited for wing surfing, or to be used as a SUP foil board, SUP downwind foil board, or prone foil surf. Changes include a more overall rail curve in the outline, slightly narrower tail, increased nose rocker, and more pronounced bottom shaping and concave. Multiple foot strap insert positions, including wider stance options, give riders the opportunity to choose between a windsurfing style, double front strap setup, or a single surf style setup. The 60 L, 50 L, and 40 L boards are well suited for surf foiling. The rocker is perfectly balanced so the board flies smoothly parallel to the water surface. Track boxes have been moved further back to better match with the multitude of different foils that riders may pair with the boards. The increased tail kick behind foil boxes combined with the beveled rail guarantees easy take-offs and sufficient clearance in turns. The carbon ultra layup, which now includes extra rail cap reinforcements and Kevlar patches in high-stress areas, gives these boards the lightweight edge, minimising swing weight and enhancing overall performance.
