With over two years of evolution and over two decades in the making, generation 8 of the Custom Quad is our pinnacle wave board. Improved efficiency and volume distribution with reduced friction and increased waterflow allowed us to augment the overall curve of the board and shorten the new Custom Quad without losing any of the lengthier previous generation’s fastness. Putting us deeper into the most critical section of the wave, right where we want to be, but with more speed and turnability under our feet. A word on weight, custom built US boxes for lightness and compatibility, removed deck sticker for lightness and sustainability. 9 world champion titles, between Marcilio Browne, Maria Morales, Marino Gil and Francisco Goya, from its original design to its exuberant evolution, this is the offthe-shelf board our team, from Juniors to Pros, choose to ride and compete and win on, decade after decade. A focus on maximum maneuverability and control in surf and surf like conditions. This all new design has a very neutral feel. You are free to draw your own lines on the wave and surf exactly how you want. Effortless drive and lightness allowing you to sail for hours. Handling Characteristic: Banzai Surf Pro is a bit more high aspect with a shorter boom compared to Banzai 11 Pro and Banzai Max this combined with the lower and more centered positioned lift gives you a balanced neutral feel for maximum control and maneuverability. This also makes the sail feel super light in your hands al- lowing you to sail for longer and be in complete control when wave riding. The power never pulls too much or too little but is always there when you need it. A new profile combined with a more unified twist from bottom to top creates a more efficient and lighter feeling sail giving you more range and control especially in down the line conditions. Handling Characteristic: The lift is slightly higher up and further back compared to Banzai Surf Pro and Banzai Max Pro, which promotes a more upright feel but also gives a touch of back hand pressure for more throttle when you need it. A direct but flexible feel keeps you connected at all times during maneuvers. Banzai 11 Pro is our World Cup performance wave sail designed to win in all wave and maneuver conditions. Main window panel: 6 mil X-Ply Film features a black Ultra-PE fiber that provides high modulus stretch resistance and high tensile tear strength. The fiber configuration allows for maximum fiber performance while also blending into the background. Wave performance and also high wind comfort, confidence and control in any water condition. The vinyl window makes the Guru X Pro unique. It creates a very smooth and comfortable power delivery, as well as the most durable sail in our lineup. Vinyl is practically indestructible and will stay crystal clear for the life of the sail. The new Guru X Pro is the result of 25 years of design evolution and the process and progress continues.
Francisco Goya claims it as his personal favorite, and as of late, Levi Siver has been spending time on the Guru X Pro in the pure wave conditions of Ho’okipa and loving it. Makes sense, because that’s where the design was born and established many years ago. Continuing its development around the world, high winds of The Gorge, and spots like Pozo have helped to tune up the smaller sizes to work as magnificent as the rest of the line. The goal has always been for the 3.2 to feel like the 4.7 and through lots of prototypes and testing in those extreme conditions were we finally able to achieve it. Guru X Pro offers a huge rigging range. With it’s soft power delivery and smooth progressive twist, you can rig this sail very full and still fill comfortably in control. Rigging the sail flatter on the outhaul is possible for a more neutral handling feel in higher wind and maneuver-oriented conditions.
